I believe I know the answer, but I'm seeking the wisdom of someone who has seen/done this.

I jacked up the car to find an oil leak and noticed after I put a stand on the front of the subframe and then lowered the jack down, that the gap between the subframe and body moved about one inch (Front mount).

I assume this is not normal and bushings are in order. If so, can you do it with a floor jack and stands?

Thanks,

Tim

Might as well replace all 4 corners of them. FWIW, you should be able to use the pair (upper and lower) for rear on all four corners. I used the Gen IIIs like that on my 89.

The rear lower bushings might be covered under either a recall or a TSB (don't remember which). It might be worth a call to your local Ford store.
