get the 1000cc tripple cat. those things sound awsome. if you want a cheap sled watch for consignment auctions like in annandale lampi auctions, really cheap sleds there last year. not sure on this year since we got snow. i want to get a 97-98 xc700 twin with the white hood and xtra-10 suspention...best sled in my price range lol

Yeah I like the Cats myself and the 1000cc would probably be the end of me lol..So the 580 would be more my speed, so do you have to be a dealer to invade that auction and is it online?

The red car was the trans also. So far, i have killed the trans in my first sho, which was a 93 auto, a 96 dodge avenger, my 2000 silverado, the 94 manual, and now the volvo. Thats why i try to stay away from autos, but i thought this would be a turning point. I was wrong.

Joe you forgot to add that I came and sat with you and Ty while the trans cooled down.

BTW how can we have a bs thread when every thread turns into bs?

Kinda what I was thinking, It won't be the only one since almost every thread turns into unrelated bs. It may be the only official one though!

The 580 was not the greatest engine. theyre kind of like volvo transmissions...

They like to blow up around 4000 miles. the 600, 500, or 440 twins would be a better choice.;)

Yup, the trans. Went out friday night up in Afton right after i dropped my youngest off at the g/f's parents house. It hadnt slipped at all since i bought it, but then down shifted to 3rd while cruising about 50 mph, after a few seconds of that, it was nothing.

I talked to the guy i bought it from, and about how he had flushed the trans before he sold it. Pretty much tells me that he killed it by flushing it. But, i will be ordering a trans tomorrow, and he is going to put it in in 2 weeks.

now that you say that, someone else told me that power flushing is no good. cant remember their situation right now

Well it depends on what I find, and even if I have enough to buy one next year. So what ever comes my way that is in decent shape I'll swoop on it being a 440, 580. Here is what I'll be looking for.
