97 zr 440. had 5600 miles on it when the speedo stopped working. there is another thousand on it at least. I could do that. id have to buy tabs first.

I used to have an xcr 600. dog on the low end but screamed after 40. friend wrecked it and stuck me... so i dont have it but the pickle has always been more reliable???

Yup, the trans. Went out friday night up in Afton right after i dropped my youngest off at the g/f's parents house. It hadnt slipped at all since i bought it, but then down shifted to 3rd while cruising about 50 mph, after a few seconds of that, it was nothing.

I talked to the guy i bought it from, and about how he had flushed the trans before he sold it. Pretty much tells me that he killed it by flushing it. But, i will be ordering a trans tomorrow, and he is going to put it in in 2 weeks.

yupp i have owned 3 xcr's and two of them seized up rebuilt them and then i sold them haha this third one is good so far knock on wood..

and DAMN joe that sucks *********. is he goin to be footin the bill?

No. I found a trans in wi at a yard that has 50k on it. Otherwise a rebuilt one from volvo is 4-5k. He can get it for 2k, but I blew my money on the car already. He said he would put it in for a case of beer and a few bucks, so well see how that goes.

Well Ty, I did find a manual awd trans, but i dont think i would be able to do the swap. Although, it would be awesome.

Joe that really sucks, so that was two tranny's in one year or was the last one a clutch I don't remeber. Well might I start saving for a cheap sled for next winter since this year we actually got enough to ride in. I'm only going to look for a 500-1000 Arctic Cat Zr-580 95-98 so if you know of one let me know. My luck though I'll buy one and it won't snow at all next year.
