Not sure if this is the correct section but here goes. Started pulling apart my parts car today for the black interior. I managed to break a couple of the holders for the plastic clips (sometimes refered as trees?) on the door panel. I was wondering what you all would suggest to glue the holders back together. I was thinking JB Weld or something like that... Suggestions?

Buy them from Ford... You will regret trying to fix them or using any other brand.

FWIW, replace ALL of them... If you don't they will rattle and squeak. I speak from experience ;)

You can get a lot of those types of fasteners at NAPA/Checker/AZ. I see piles of all kinds of different flavors of them at our local NAPA outlet. Very inexpensive, it's not at all worth trying to repair one.

Autozone carries the plastic push-pins, too, they should be hanging up where the fasteners are located.

But I think Matt is talking about the slots on the door panels where the heads of the pins slide into? If so, I would like to hear suggestions on that myself.

STAY AWAY FROM THE AUTOZONE/NAPA/ CHECKER/ ETC.... Take it from me... They are made of cheap plastic that break as you push them in. I watched all the plastic fins fall on the ground when I pushed them in. I even had some of the heads break while sliding them in the door panel. For the money, the FORD parts are actually worth a damn.

Eric, ask Tom about my situation. Tom gave me some Ford fasteners as mine broke bad enough for the door panel to move. They are not all that inexpensive either... $2.50+ for 3 push pins... It adds up really quick when you need 14 per front door.

You nailed it on the head. I did plan on buying new pins, now I think I'll go Ford. Thanks for the heads up on that part.
