Use duct tape to peel most of the chrome that's left off. Then sand what's left. I only used that trick on half of my lights and kicked myself for it.

What's what I did. Well one of my lights has about 5 coats because it developed a bubble so I sanded the paint a couple times until I was happy with.pulled it out from the car - 400 grit sand job- 3 light coats of semi black - heat gun between coats .
Inside the tail light or the paint?now I see a bit of water inside - any idea how to remove it
