Since this topic first went by, I am now up to 102,000. Still not welded, still on the TC that was in the car when I bought it, but I do consider cam welding to be a very reasonable preventive maintenance procedure, and I have my Ford dealer getting the parts and people organized to get it done before summer. Meantime, went back to the summer Potenza yesterday, and still eagerly awaiting the arrival of the Front Strut Brace.

I have had my '97 SHO for about 2 months now, got it off ebay out of Memphis Tennesee, it had 86,000 miles on it when I bought it, now it has 88,000 miles on it. The cams are probably not welded and it probably has the original tranny in it as well, I have had no problems with this car at all and this one is absolutely flawless. Oh, I did have one problem, the driver's side bass speaker was blown, but I fixed that. I do plan on having the cams welded soon just as a precaution, because I absolutely LOVE this car!!!!
