i need to know which has the weak rivets because i think i just blew clutch which was just replaced four months ago... but i was racing on the freeway and half missed a shift to fourth, the stick got halfway in i think and i released the clutch and hammered on the gas, naturally the stick popped back out but made a very nasty noise and now it is hard to get into gear unless i am rolling, and i have to speed match to get it to shift, but once in gear it holds solid and doesnt slip, runs through all the gears and still pulls hard... just hard as **** to shift. what are your thoughts??? if it is the clutch it is still covered under warranty from the place i got it, so no worries:corn:

sounds like you blew the diff pin to me. get under there and look for a gaping hole where near the differential. better start looking for a new transmission.

It could be the clutch. You will need to pull the tranny to be sure. If you play you have to be willing to pay.

similar thing happened to me not long ago. same symptoms afterward. so i pulled the clutch. didnt actually see anything broken though, just extremely worn. i think it was an original clutch... kinda nervous that i didnt actually see something broken, i replaced it anyway and reassembled. that was definately it for me. runs better than it ever did now.

o yea, do you notice a slightly rougher idle now?

Clutch here too. I would guess a broken/damaged pressure plate strap to be exact.
