Okay my 97 is now on its second automatic antenna (The second one wasn't the greatest but for $20 who can argue?), I would like to get a new one that is complete crap (Basically I want one that works). Anoyone got a spare one lying around that they'd like to part with?

I got a spare one. I bought it on eBay but it didn't come with the connector that I think goes to the amp for power etc. So I ended up buying another one (this time I made sure it had the connector). The reason I needed the connector is because I have a 99 and it has a standard mast antenna instead of the the power version.

Let me know if you are interested.

Also, can you :help: me with a problem I have. The second antenna I bought had the connector and about 8-9 inches of the four wires (black, green, pink, & red/black). The problem is I don't know which harness they were cut from. I have three different plugs at the amp each with a bunch of wires. I think I found the red/black and I've seen a couple of blacks but can't find the pink and green. Can you trace the wires back from the white connector at the antenna and let me know where they lead?

Make me an offer. If I don't sell it. I could always keep it as a spare just in case.

But if you can help me with the wire situation, I'm sure I will be willing to part with it. :thumb:

I've been visiting the forum off and on but haven't had a need to post. Right now I'm in need of help with the wires for the power antenna for a Gen III.

Tell ya what it may only be 7 degrees outside but I will go look and see what i can figure out. . . . . . Okay, I went outside and looked (its freezing out there guys!) It was to cold to pull apart my trunk space but I WAS feeling around (I will most likely look into it more this weekend when I have a heated garage to use) the four wires I THINK went into that enormous bundle of wires that is back behind where the CD changer sits. I have my old antenna at my Parent's house so I will take a look at it. gimme a few days and I will fill you in on the results

Is it the antenna motor itself or just the shaft? You can get replacements for < $20 on eBay, if I can take it apart and install, ANYONE can do it :thumb:
