Just finished putting a new clutch in my friends 92. It took us 10 hours of actual work time but we had a **** of a time getting parts. We called Napa friday and ordered the clutch. When we tried to pick it up on saturday they said they didn't carry any at the warehouse and we were sol. Next we called Sturdevant's and they had one but we had to wait 3 hours for it to be delivered from the warehouse. When we got there, we discovered that it had been dropped and the clutch disc was chipped on one side. We had to wait another hour for them to exchange it. Then at 7 saturday night we discovered that the tob was the wrong size. So we finally finished it up today after exchanging tobs. I did have one question after all this. There is a plug next to the maf sensor that I can't figure out where it goes. Maybe it's nothin but it bugs me. It was disconnected before we bought it though!

I always thought that buying and possessing the parts for a service job before starting the job was more than just a good idea.

The extra plug on the MAF connector harness is just that - an extra plug for something the later year SHO MTXs didn't have. My 1991 does not have the extra plug. The connector must have been added to the Gen II wiring harness.
