I double checked my coolant strength... I flushed it over the summer (50/50). Car had sat for a day when I checked it. I got one ball to float = 20 degrees F. :oogle: I checked it again today after driving it for several miles. 3 balls floated this time. Is there an explanation as to why it read inconsistently?

not sure. dunno how accurate those testers are and i suppose the water and antifreeze could have possibly seperated slightly while sitting. although i dont think it would happen that quickly, but it may have.

They are temperature defendant. Be sure to always use the tester at approximately the same coolant temp.

the antifreeze doesnt separate from the water. They are soluble. The balls measure measure concentration based on density...the density of the mixture changes with temperature.
