Installed the 170 tstat today, seemed pretty straight forward out and in with the same orientation. Replaced a bit of coolant and it seems to have leveled off there. Noticing my temps are about 200-210F with 209 at idle. Driven pretty aggressively and approx 25miles with outside temps being 40ish.
Is that a normal range for the car to be operating at? The fans on pretty constantly for the most part but dead center on the temp gauge on the dash. Exact number readings are obtained via xcal4
