Temp rises at idle, lowers when the throttle is pressed

Alrighty, where might that be on the engine? Near the thermostat? And um.. where's the thermostat if that's the case. I never had to go and find it when doing my work on the car before. Thanks for all this help, I only wish TCCA was more helpful when it came to the GL.

That's what I was getting at :)


The ECT is just to the right of the T-stat when looking at the motor from the drivers side fender. You'll need a 1" deep well socket and you will have to take off the rubber intake hose.

Ah, okay, thanks! I'm gonna replace it anyways, even if it's not the reason. But it's getting tougher and tougher on the car, it was to the "N" when my girlfriend got stuck in a traffic jam. Think that'll warp the block or heads after a while?
