I am installing some gauges. Got the volt and oil pressure going great. I am just looking for a location for the temp probe for the aftermarket gauge. I would like to keep the original one also. Could this be installed in one of the block drain holes?? When I was lnstalling the oil pressure gauge I noticed a plug to the right of the oil pressure sender what is that for???

You will want the sender as close to the T-stat as possible. I would put it in the hose going to the heater core. Use some copper water pipe fittings.
