So yesterday morning the temperature control stopped working on the passenger side, it blows ice cold air no matter what I set it to. I have had this issue before, but it magically went back to normal by itself. So far I've tried disconnecting the battery, that didn't work.. Also when I first start the car, it goes to defrost mode (all the air goes up to the window) and it's hot air, then after 2 seconds or so, it blows hot air in my face, before starting to blow cold air.. Any ideas?

Blend door actuator. Do you hear and clicking when changing the temp setting?
It's right behind the glove box. About a 10 min job.
Might as well change the cabin air filter while your in there, you have to remove the actuator to change the filter.

I've been hearing some weird clicking every time when I first start the car, but it sounds like it's coming from under the drivers side dashboard as well as the passenger side. Then it goes away as the car gets warm. But I'll try replacing that actuator.

There is 2 actuators, one on each side.
The passenger side is pretty easy to access.
The drivers side is a pita.
If you here click it's definitely the actuator. Just a matter of which one or both.
The clicking is a stripped tooth on the gear.

You can diy this. I did both of mine. About 15 minute job. The driver side is above the brake pedal. Two 8mm bolts and electrical conector.
I might sound stupid, but is it very easy to do? I'm not very mechanically enclined :/ I did change my cabin air filter, I guess one of the actuators is in that area?

Yes. You actually have to remove the actuator to remove the cabin filter. So you've already done it once

Yes it's easy to do passenger side. Try that one first. The driver side requires awkward body placement. It's above the brake pedal pivot point.

I'll do the passenger side one first, I'm guessing it's most likely that one. Does anybody have a part number or a link to where I can order the part online?

Edit: is this the right part?

Piece of cake.
If you have any issues post here and we'll help you out
So after doing some more reading online, some people are saying the actuator that I bought is the wrong one, that the one that sits directly behind the glove box is the resirc one, I want the hot/cold one. Can anyone verify that this is the right sensor before I tear open the packaging.

So the installation was a piece of cake, unfortunately like I suspected it did not fix the issue, passenger side still spits out cold air no matter what temperature I set it to

The passenger and the recirculation actuator is the same. The passenger actuator is in the same area just a bit more towards the center behind the center console. There is a wire harness that is partially blocking the view. It will be a little more tricky to replace.
