Tank straps

How do you get the front part of the gas tank straps out? Is it a roll pin or something like that. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

IMC, they should just come right out after you loosen the other side of the strap. If your doing a fuel pump, do a search on the "fuel pump door option".

No, they were cut so I have to replace them. I didn't cut them and I have never "completely" removed the straps in the past. Just unbolted them in the rear and let them hang. These were cut halfway by a PO and I need to know how the front part unhooks. Thanks for the reply.

I believe that there is a type of pin that holds the front in. If I remember correctly, they only pound out 1 way. You can buy new gas tank straps at the auto parts store.
