When putting every thing back together make sure the gasket surfaces are CLEAN of any debris. I use a razor to get most of it off and then finish off with a soft/medium wire brush on a drill to ensure its a perfect surface and never had any issues. No RTV ever.
Do not tighten the coupler clamps until you have the intake mounted back on the engine. If you tighten the clamps first the intake will not line up correct. Just get the intake together but leave the clamps loose.
