Tachometer

My tachometer is now rotating around clockwise so that it is under the peg instead of on top of the peg. When started up, the needle pegs out and does not read correctlt. I just had the crank sensor replaced and believe something happened when reconnecting the wire assemblies. Any answers to correct tachometer needle.

Hit the rev limiter, it'll swing back around.

does this happen often?

if it does check the wiring under the hood there is a single wire plug under the hood near the computer area that can be used for a aftermarket tach which might be shorting out.
