Ok here the deal my tach is stuck at liek 2600-2850 rpms when driving it looks like I am driving at 3000 rpms in 3rd gear going 30. When I am going 35 it goes about 3500-4000 rpms. Tried gunning it to break it loose but it didnt help. Did this 2 or 3 times. Will check it agin in the morning to see it if returns to normal. Any help on this is greatly appreciated. If I need to find a new one what vehicle does it need to come out of. Thanks

Trevor :thankyou:

pull your cam sensor, let the oil drain out, and replace it and the cam seal there....

my car was doing this. cam sensor was dirty. it would just bounce from like 1500 RPM driving down the road to like 3000RPM.

Mine just got stuck under the peg from when my starter was going nuts and giving me all kinds of weird indicators on my instrument cluster. My tach went around clockwise and now it's stuck under the peg. Revving it super high in 1st and 2nd hasn't fixed it. I don't want to have to pull the dash fascia to fix it.

that's my favorite part about starting my car after i've been working on it and the battery has been on and off... for some reason the tach needle likes to end up under the stop needle. revving it up usually corrects the problem jeremy is talking about.
