Cam sensor is common , but for cranking issues , not the tach.

Tach dead could be cam sensor , DIS , coil pack.

"Cranking issues" means car runs but the tach dosent?

DIS means Distributorless Ignition System. Thats the square wafer thingy on the passenger side of the intake. I suppose it could have a bad lead...check the connections - I think one of them is for the tach.

Coil Pack is where the coils are ..... duh .... J/K . It's the block that has all the connections for the spark plug wires. Its on the drivers side. I doubt it's your problem.
