tach don't work

I went to back my 94 atx into the driveway and heard a pop noise and looked down to see
that the tach had stopped working. any suggestions, please help.

If it doesnt run.. the CPS is bad, Otherwise its wiring.. Its not a cable.

it runs fine other than the fuel related starting problems on inclines

found problem o/d off switch grounded out and blew fuse #18. thanks any way for the insight.
