Syncro replacement needed, help!

I have lost my 2nd gear syncronizer... Has anyone ever had this repair made, and what is the price range im looking at for the part and labor? Damnit this ****** me off!!!!! shoot Do the have to lift the motor..or do they even need to pul the tranny? Any answers would be rather appreciated. THINAKS! :mad:

I think you gotta pull the tranny. You could try it yourself with the Sho Nut video.

Judging by the fact that they have to pull the tranny, your expenses are gonna start at a few hundred to get the thing out, then back in again. (Assuming you pay a regular mechanic with average rates)

On top of that, you might wanna look into a full rebuild on your tranny... or the cheaper route: Boneyard for a lower mileage mtx. I paid $900 for my new clutch, flywheel, tob etc... parts & labor. Ouch.

if you want a bone yard tranny, i will swap with you, i have a good tranny. I will trade it to you plus $100 and you pay shipping.

hmmm...please inform me more on this "bone yard" tranny...I dont exactly know what that means, and any reason you would want my old tranny...not trying to be a dick here just checking things out ya know....thanks everyone for there replies!

the reason i want your old one, is i can rebuild it. my tranny i have is a spare, so if it goes i want a rebuildable "core". the tranny i have is out of a 90, shifted fine, mileage unknown
