Swapping motor, what work should I do while it's out?

I'm swapping out the motor in a 95 ATX with one from a 94 ATX. It's only got 96K on it but I really don't know what has or hasn't been done.

I'm planning on the timing belt, plugs, wires and whatever seals look like they're leaking. What else should be done while it's sitting on my shop floor?

I'd like to do the valve adjustments but I'm not sure if I can find the right tools out here in the sticks Montana.

Do all your oil seals whether they look like they are leaking or not. Oil seals such as the cam seals are MUCH easier to do when you have the motor out of the car. Since you are doing the timing belt replace that front main seal also.

Any seal on the bottom end. You may want to think about rod bearings but with only 96k they should not need to be changed. I would be easier to change them with the engine out of the car though. If the steering rack is loose or leaky now would be the time while the engine is out.

I would change the rod bearings while the motor is out. It's very simple and even more so with the engine out of the car.
