swapping auto tranny to a manual

hey whats up guys i have a 94 sho 3.2 wondering if the 3,2's came manual or is it just the 3.0. i have axod tranny .was wondeering if its possible to go from auto to manual. just reply with what you think.

Yeah it's possible. The reason they made the 3.2 was specifically for the automatic. They made it larger to get that extra 15 tq to break through the torque converter. Yeah an manual tranny will bolt right up, but IIRC there's a few other things that has to be done.

No machining is required. What is required is the reason why most people don't bother swapping and ATX for an MTX. Off the top of my head you will need the following: 3.0 oil pan, flywheel, clutch & PP, MTX tranny, clutch & brake pedal assy, half axels, MTX subframe, MTX engine wiring & dash harness, MTX engine computer, shifter assy, 3.0 accessories & mounting brackets. You basically need a whole MTX parts car or you will be missing something.

Like was just stated, it's a buttload of work. If you love automotive projects, it could be worth it to you. For most of us it would be easier to get a manual car and put the 3.2 motor in it. Look up Jose, rktmn here on the forum, and ask him how his conversion went/ is going.
