Hello, I'm fairly new to the forum. I bought my '13 a few months ago which prompted my 18 yr old son to get in on a '13 PP a couple of weeks ago. We discovered a coolant leak on his +150K car and have done quite a bit of reading and YouTube watching to learn about water pump replacement on this model. One of the final steps I've seen done to clear out an eminent engine code is to plug into the IDS and perform the Misfire Monitor Neutral Profile Correction &Relearn procedure. Evidently this is required if the crankshaft pulley is removed as you had to do during the removal of your timing chain cover. There's a brief explanation in the youtube video listed.
Perhaps this might be of assistance.
So how do I know if I need to do what this says?
Cause I have P0340 camshaft position sensor (bank 1 sensor 1) and have been driving my car like that since I replaced the water pump. And it might be my ignorance but it doesn't seem to be doing bad I don't think. Like it speeds up fine (not counting my ****** coil packs).
But I haven't found anything loose,I'll double check here in a few. But where even is the thing so I can replace it if need be?
