Just saw these on another forum I frequent. Not a fan of the wheels, but the rest is pretty hot.

cant believe it, but the '10 taurus has now joined the ranks of 'cars SHOmethewayhome thinks look worse when blacked out'

not feeling the rims either.

but most importantly, it's nicer than anything I drive.

Eh, I think that much is too much. Blacked out tails and headlights look stupid IMO, and the blacked out Ford logos look weird. You need some chrome for contrast, to make it look good.

Oh, and the wheels suck.

I don't understand why you would reduce the output of your headlights and taillights. Other than that, the black monochrome looks good.

Well its not nicer than anything I drive and I think its a *************. The fact that he used spray paint to black everything out reminds me of ricer civics.

I'm leaning towards LOVING the car and the rims, best looking set i've yet to see on a 2010 SHO. A touch of chrome would've been nice but overall I am feelin the stealth factor...Needs an SHO badge somewhere though.

Even though I eventually want to remove most of the chrome and start "blacking-out" my SHO, I really think that this is overboard..... I agree that the head and tail lights are too much and the wheels look like shit. Also, I don't like the blacking of the factory grille.....

My plans are to dechrome around the windows, swap the grille with the first black aftermarket grille that catches my eye (and becomes available for order!!!! Do you hear that mobsteel and superlux????) I will not touch my wheels because they are the best factory 20's that I've ever seen IMHO and I will not remove any of the SHO emblems. (perhaps reposition them at the most) The Ford emblem on the front grille will disappear with the aftermarket grille and the Ford emblem on the rear will be replaced with something..... (don't know what however I don't want to just paint over it like this guy did) The front LED fog light surrounds will be black and the chrome on the trunk as well.
And finally, the corny side vents will get some kindof treatment as well although once again, I'm not sure what???

That's my plan :swing:

The sad part is, he spent all that money on making everything black, and all it does is make those bright-ass silver calipers stick out more.

I actually think the wheels look kinda cool (for black wheels, which I normally hate). Make it look kinda like something from Tron.

4300 lb, 4 door lump of coal does not equal stealth.

stealth would have been De-badged, sitting at SLO ride height with stock SLO wheels.

in my opinion.

I think the wheels are a bad accent to it.

I think personally It should be a White SHO with the Black outs... I like the look of that...

Not much I like about this SHO. Still for the life of me can't figure out tinting the headlamps dark...HID's improve visibility and then to reduce that just doesn't add up (to me). I had a 95 Jimmy with darkened headlights and went back to non-tinted, but that's me. This SHO is just overdone. The guys on the forum have done a lot nicer (and tasteful) modding that this one.

Yeah, but your heads and tails look great, and if you like them that's all that counts. Besides, your car is a whole lot classier and sharper then the black one IMHO...I really like your modding, and I agree with you about the black one.

It's not a SHO....It's an SEL that is has been done over. I've seen other pics on the other forum.....(You'll notice the wrong lower grille and if you see the back....the exhaust all on one side. He even painted over the Ford emblems and you can see the Ford silhouette in the background....

You people really annoy me. What if everyone here hated all of your guys' cars?

Didn't say I hate it, just not much about it that I care for, just not the style for me...but it's not for me to like, the owner can do what he likes and it really doesn't matter what I think, it's not my car or my money being spent on the mods....besides that's what modding and hot rodding is all about..doing what you the owner wants to do. But if you post here and ask for input then you are asking for others thoughts. If you don't want to hear the answer don't ask the question. Heck, if there was something that I wanted to do to my car I'd do it, wouldn't matter if no one else in the whole world liked it.
