AT about 1/4 throttle it surges when going about 40-50. I read on shotimes about the dirty idle air bypass soleniod. Where is that located?? And it said that its usually accompanied with hard starting. It has no problem starting. Plz help.

The IAB is on the driver's side of your intake manifold area near the throttle body. It is cylindrical in shape. I'm not sure if this is your problem but maybe you can give us some more of your car's symptoms. Also, it wouldn't hurt to clean the IAB with some B12 Chemtool.

well under little but steady throttle it pulses back and forth. I look at the rpms and i stays steady. My dad thinks its the tranny but i dont.

Any chance your climate control is in a position which has the A/C compressor engaged when this happens? (The A/C compressor will engage in every setting except Off, Vent, and Floor.)

the ac comperssor isnt on while this is happenening. Ill try to clean the IAB selonied 2nite. I hope this is the problem
