i'm trying to put the intake back together, but the surge tank won't line up with the two brackets that come up from behind. I have no idea what to do, i've spent half an hour just trying to get those two screws in but since you can't really see whats back there when the tank is in.........

getting frustrated and at this point I just want to get rid of the car :(

so to quote V8sho.com do i?

A: say to **** with those 2 annoying 12mm bolts and let the tank hang freely.

B: mutter several oaths directed at first at no one then more pointedly at the idiot who designed the damn thing.

C: whistle and have a grand time while getting your arms cut up as you try in vain to put those 2 damn 12 mm bolts in.

I've done B about a billion times

I only use the one on the passenger side. I think I slotted it some more too so it is easier to get on.

Move the ground strap stud to the top.

You don't need either rear bracket as long as the two top brackets from the runners are attached. Throw 'em away.

Didnt have any issues bolting mine back up. Make sure that the foam under the surge tank is not damaged and making it not sit down far enough.
