Hopefully someone can help this problem that is fighting me. Under WOT acceleration when the car hits 4k you feel the secondaries open but the car kind of surges until it hits about 5k then it pulls like it should. It's basically feels like it laying down between 4-5k then it hits. The car is a mtx swap still running the d4ui and atx wiring. I have tired removing the c&l maf but it does not change anything. I have also double checked the timing. Any ideas?

Are both secondaries opening when they should be? Open the hood, give the engine a rev and see if both open at the same time (At 3800, or whatever). They both operate off of the same vacuum source, but I've had one with a delayed opening due to a crack in a Vacuum line.

are there any valid codes?

I would check plugs, wires, and coil as it sounds like it might be a weak spark type of issue.
