Is it better to have all (like there is ever enough!) done to before you have a chip burned and coded? or Does it matter?

I have done a bit of research on both Superchips and Diablo chips, from posting here to calling the SHO Shop and talking at length with Tom, to talking with the Performance shop in Madison Wis. as well.
I have learned that NO chip for the Gen III is worth buying at this point, but that Diablo is in the final stages of development, and it should be out in a few months.
(This information comes from the most trusted SHO folks around, and from the folks here on the forum who know em best.)

Well anyone that listens to the SHO SHOP should sit with out a chip.

What The SHO SHOP forget to tell you is that 1 person is teting the chip. ME...

and it works just fine, working out a shifting issue and then you all can have it.

Dyno proof, so please dont tell me what Tom says.
Im not trying to start a fight but you guys have got to listen to other than the SHO SHOP. There GEN 3 stuff is so far behind its not funny. I am sorry if I offended you.

Ok, then what about just adjustin' the computer using Hypertech? According to their site they just compeleted codes for (most of the Gen III) SHO's.

Yeah, lots of stupid questions. This is my first run at serious car tuning.

The reason I posted my question here and spoke with 2 "SHO Experts" was to get as good an answer as possible. I don't have an income that lets me spend $200.00+ on something that doesn't work. I asked for facts from all I spoke to, and as of yet do not have a chip in my vehicle. I have opted to wait until I hear that the bugs are out. And it takes a whole lot more than somebody's opinion to offend me. :D

shodwn,
Do you have dyno fax pre and post chip insertion, and if so do the gains reflect those bandied about in the pro-chip propaganda?
Is the chip you are "testing" a model for a standard chip to be produced, or is it programmed to make the most of your specific modifications, and therefore worthless in a stock machine?
It's just kind of odd that a chip manufacturer would choose a hot rodded car as opposed to a stocker for testing, and only 1 at that.

I do have before and after results along with the chip that Superchips sent me. Superchip is CRAPPOLA

Must be a drag changing the exhaust over every time you do a test.

OBD-II is only Diagnostic software added to the OS of the car. We Have ECC-V and just like the OLD SHO's we have the smae access port in the back on the PCM. Easy as 123
