hello. as i just bought a fps supercharger kit from the awesome kurt here on the forum i need some info on what i need to do to get this thing running reliably. now i'm not looking to build some uber super ******** fast sho. i'm just looking for a sho with more uph.. i've never supercharged anything before so any info would be of great benefit to me. it mostlikely will be a 3.2l as my uncle just came into a nice 93 atx that he's parting out. it runs beautifully. this is going on the 91, which is now a bigger work in progress. hehe. please help a fellow sho owner who is making his dream sho come true. :thumb:

/\ What he said...

In addition, what do you already know and what would you like to know more about?

How much boost can you run on a stock compression engine? Can you run low boost reliably without a intercooler? If so, what's the limit?

Erik, I've personally worked up a stock 3.2L running 9psi, non-IC'd. Car made 322 to the wheels out of the box with no tuning. With Ethanol-based fuel, I'd be more careful, start at 6psi & work upwards.

ok kurt might know more, please chime in if you do kurt but what he listed for me is as follows:

Vortec V-1
HKS blow off valve
modified fuel rails
36# "green" Ford fuel injectors
255 lph Walbro fuel pump
spare pulley & "stock" pulley
80mm Lightning MAF

of course all the hardware, and fuel lines what not seem to be in there. not sure what pulley is on there but my guess would be a 9# one. i know the basics of supercharging and what not but tuning is going to be interesting for me. tweecer is on the list for sure. lordy what have i gotten myself into. hopefully lots of these

We are getting close to 370 wheel hp on stock 3.0s with 12psi boost.

When we are on it hard, we run 100 octane unleaded we no detonation or knock on a safe tune.

I hope to be able to hit 400hp by the end of summer with improved tuning.
