i work 3 jobs, at a metal supply warehouse (hence the ti exhaust, employee discounts are nice), for a contruction crew (tax free dollars never hurt) and at a muffler shop (where i bent my ti tubing, i went with 4" because i couldnt mandrel bend it) and i dont wanna buy the sho shop kit cuz i allready spent all the money on the mods ive allready done, but from what i read here the blower is a bad idea anyway, i dont wanna have to replace my crank every 1000 miles. Anyone have any idea how much power i'm making as is? No one has posted any guesses yet. I'll try and get some pictures on here, at the moment my scanner is broken, and fixing it takes a back burner to my car, so it might be a while

From the outside, a 3.6 looks the same as a 3.0. SHOShop didn't tell you how much power this engine makes?

Am curious about the exhaust though...

From SHO Shop's own catalog:

"A 3.6L long block with HiFlow, Level 2 heads and STAGE III power package increased a customers’ wheel HP from 183 to 265 and wheel TQ from 177 to 255. This is a true 300HP at the flywheel."

This is about right, given the recent 3.4L hi-po buildup that John Hrinsin just finished.

Chris i agree with you! I worked one job while i was in high school! I worked nearly 37 hours a week and i barley had enough time for school.(You have to love the school to work programs) :D And with my job i bought my sho ($3,200). And then I started modding the **** out of it. But that was like a few years later. After i get the bugs out of her and replaced a bunch of stuff.... :D Trust me you don't have time to work 3 jobs while you are in HS.

I also dont think that the SHO engine will make any kind of exhaust shoot flames out, unless it was only manifolds. But, I dont know.

I've shot sparks out my tail pipes before. Note to self... Remember before racing anyone that I had my TwEECer set to "Valet" and could only rev to 5k RPM.

Sure was funny though

Oh, yeah... I call BS on this too. If I were 16 with that money and wanted to spend it on the SHO... I would have went straight to the supercharger.

The age shows in the mods as they were not thought out.

Oh, I still call BS!

I beg to differ, I know of at least one kid in my highschool that works 4 or 5 jobs now and worked 3 in high school. He has to pay for his insurance on his rs eclipse(1800 every 6 months). He worked at a hardware store, pizza place, and a cell phone place. Just so he could pay for his car.

I was working a full time job after school at that age.

Getting the funds to put a monster SHO together would not be the problem as it's possible especially living at home with no bills at all and a full paycheck to invest on the car, my only concern is that someone that young with that much horsepower on public roads may not have the maturity to restrain himself thus killing himself or others.

I'd be most interested in seeing proof that someone was able to get all those parts from the SHO Shop, especially the 3.6L stroker. SHO Shop can't manage to produce and ship simple things like pulleys or BBB's, and when they do the lag time is about 9 months minimum. When was the last time anyone actually got a motor out of them?

It's also peculiar that someone who would spend that much $$$ with SHO Shop already would be reluctant to buy the blower from them. That's like saying I just bought a Gulfstream jet and then went to K-Mart to buy the avionics.

I call BS. Nobody at the metals place knew he was using titanium for a tailpipe and said how stupid it was?

Yeah 1800, thing is that 3.6L long block is $6500 alone, not to mention the rest. Legal working age is 15, so he had 1 year to save up probably $15,000 and then drop it all on a SHO? :bs: I'll believe it when I see it.......

He only posted twice. It was probably some troll from another forum. Well, :type: he got replies.

You notice the lingo this kid uses? Kinda advanced for a 16 yo. I was in advanced classes and working @ 16, but come on. Little much on this story I think he did a good job of getting us talking though. :bonk:

I'm not defending him, but 1800 every six months... plus he payed over 10 grand for the car itself.. so he's making alot of payments.

There is a 600 HP Dodge Avenger rolling around in NY somewhere. The guy molded in a Porsche front and rear end and the car sports CARRERA GT brakes in front! Thats 8 POTS and almost 14 INCHES of rotor!!!

So nothing is impossible. I have yet to see this car, but when I find the link, I'll be sure to post it. A guy I go to school with was telling me about it... some guy in his Avenger or DSM club.

But I would like to see a pic of this ride.

Wait... who pays :snicker: 1800 for 6 months? On an SHO!?!?!?! Someone's either getting too many DUIs or is being bent over and taken hard!!!

im not sayin that i believe him, i don't, but there are other things to cosider here. i come from grosse pointe, which if you're familiar with the area, some parts are extremely wealthy.... someone around here owns an Enzo cause I've seen it. Anyway, what im tryin to say is it is possible he did not pay for all of that by himself, parents might have gave him a lot of money

We've still got our shaft drive supercharger system. It's adjustable from 6 to 9psi and with the right programming, your 3.6L could make 400hp easily.
