I've got my 3.0 bored/stoked out to 3.6 L, has anyone heard of a supercharger kit for this setup other than the one from SHO Shop? Their pricing is a little steep. I'm looking to get into the 400+ hp range in my '93 MTX. Nitrious isn't an option for many reasons. For one, it s not always on, 2 why would i wanna bottle feed a beast of a car like my 3.6L SHO? 3, paying to fill up a bottle all the time gets old real fast. SO supercharging is the only way to go. Or has anyone heard of a twin turbo setup for a SHO?

Mods so far are as follows:
-3.6L longblock from SHO Shop
-custom bent 4" titanium dual exhast with electric cutoffs (its alot of fun to shoot flames at whoever ur racing from the side of ur car at the star line :D )
-13.5" Baer brakes
-17" OZ Racing F1 cup wheels
-einbach springs/Koni struts
-24mm front sway bar
-29mm rear sway bar
-HiREVS race clutch
-aluminium fly wheel

Any gueses as to how much power i'm making? ive never been on a dyno

16 years old, 1 post on shoforum and this is it, wow. This is going to get flamed in a hurry.

and just a side question, if you bought the 3.6L stroker kit at 16 years old where do u get your $? And if you had the $ to buy a 3.6L why not buy the shoshop blower kit?

3.6 + boost = bottom end issues.

I'd never touch a 3.6 N/A letalone boosted. If you think the SS supercharger kit is expensive, how do you feel about a snapped crank shaft?

I dont think even the cars that are supercharged need 4 inch exhaust, let alone titanium. I also dont think that the SHO engine will make any kind of exhaust shoot flames out, unless it was only manifolds. But, I dont know.

There is also no way you are going to fit 8" diameter worth of piping into the exhaust tunnel without having the tubing 2" off the ground. I just read about a 1000hp Supra having a 5" exhaust, thats for 6 cylinders and a big turbo, and the article said it was a little overkill. 4" exhaust for 3 cylinders, making 1/3(might be a little generous) of the Supras hp, is completely pointless. You'd be losing so much velocity in your exhaust, a 200k 3.0 that never had a 60k tune up could probably take you.

supercharging is not the only way to go, but if you go the fi route you better have a good tranny built to handle the power. twin turbo's would be nice but you only need one to hit 400 hp.

Dude, even a FOUR inch exhaust was overkill on a buddies 800rwhp supra, and this is straight from the owner himself. Five inches? Lol.

Im tempted to raise the flag here, but stranger things have happened.

The last I heard, in response to the Supra talk: Back pressure isnt needed with Turbo charged applications so, neither 4 or 5 inch exhaust wouldnt make diffrence except for maybe on your wallet....but that at least what I have always been told, correct me if I am wrong...

half-way there, I think.
I'm with Oz on this one, I think it's :bs: 4" dual exhaust and it's Titanium??The Shop that did my single 3" exhaust was ******** about the lack of room. I've also never heard of 13.5" Baer Brakes either. Got any pictures of this beast to back up your mods?? Most any custom Supercharger/Turbo shop could build you a kit to suit your needs. The next problem is going to be keeping third gear in one piece.

The titanium exhaust itself is way overkill, unless you do have dough to spend, it ain't cheap, your typicaly shop probably can't even weld it. Unless you were flying in air, then it would be beneficial.

T409(stainless tubing for exhaust that can be bent) itself is already plenty.
