This car will be of interest to SHO enthusiasts only. It is an original year (1989) rust free car. The clear coat is beginning to fail on the top surfaces and the leather seats are showing their age. The AC is not functioning. I’ve owned it for about ten years and I have slowly improved it over that time.

I’m looking for $8,500 Canadian Dollars ($7,400 US dollars) because it is a sound car mechanically. It has most the modifications that SHO owners day dream about, done by a licensed mechanic in a good shop. Needless to say, the parts that have gone into it are worth a lot more than the asking price, but I’d like to see it go to somebody that can appreciate it for what it is. There are no other cars like it in Canada west of the Rockies as far as I know.

The supercharger was the last major improvement done in 2006. I have autocrossed it, but have not drag raced it. It made 279 HP at the wheels on a dyno test. I have not fussed with the tuning for the extra horsepower that is in there. It is my road car and it has been, and continues to be, completely reliable and well maintained.

The interior is as described. I have no pics handy, but the seat leather is cracked and broken on both front buckets (made a cloth cover to hide it). The drivers side bolster is shot. Otherwise the interior (for example the carpet) is very good. The sun has taken its toll on the leather.

I wrecked my back last weekend, so when it is feeling better I'll take some pics of the underside and the interior.

Very clean gen 1. Good luck, I guess I should price my next SHO higher than my last one.

Good luck with the sale Bob. Hope it goes to a caring home.

It's too bad you couldn't give it a work out on the track.

I think I know what the AC problem is. I had just had the AC repaired before the supercharger install. It was the air gap that needed adjusting. I took it to an AC mechanic and he reset the gap for a small fee.

Then I left the car with my mechanic at another shop for the installation of the supercharger. When I got the car back the AC didn't work. I am pretty sure that in the process of aligning the pulleys, they did some shimming on the AC pulley - which would have messed up the air gap again. I have not fixed the AC because I live on an Island where the weather is almost never very hot, and I really didn't want anyone messing with the pulley alignment (which is really good).

I will check on the mileage for you. I changed the instrument cluster some time ago when the factory tach quit. I recorded the mileage when I made the change over, and I think I can find that. I have a book with all of my repair/upgrade records.

On the weekend I'll try to record some video so anyone who is interested can take a virtual tour.

No offense Conan, but this would be a much better SHO than the one you love - cough, cough - a little paint and upholstery would make it a keeper.

Do my ears hear this?!? Don, I thought you were done?!?!? I have only heard good things about this car. Jump on it if you have the cash and have it shipped.
