I got both a mini and a transponder box and I put the mini sticker on the lower left corner of my windshield, but it's tinted about 30%. Do any of you have these on tinted windshields; if so, how do they work? I know tinted windshields are illegal, but oh well.

I should have just gotten 1 transponder and moved it from car to car, but I still may have issues with the signal if I drive the SHO through a toll plaza with either the sticker or the box.

I only have the mini on my 93. I put it below the tinted strip on the top of my windshield because the directions said it has to be directly on glass. The next one I get is going on top of the tint, or I'll stick it on first and tint over it.

The transponder sucks IMO, and is a waste of money to boot.

If the thing doesn't work, they'll get their money anyway via your license plate. Of course they'll tack on some assorted fees, but I'm not sure how much.

Yeah it tells you below the tinted strip to the left or right of the rearview mirror, but that's kind of in the way IMO, so I stuck it in the lower left corner. Mine has the dark tinted strip (aftermarket), but then the WHOLE windshield has tint. It's on for good now; I'm sure if I pull it off it will screw up the tint. Hopefully it will work; if not, I registered all 4 cars and plates, so they will just charge my account it hits as a violation.

Not sure how you'd tint over it; it's pretty thick with that electronic device made into the sticker. I've heard of people mounting them on their sunroof, lol.

I'll let you know if mine works. At one of the bridges I use, it has a gate that raises and lowers. I thought that's kind of odd as Sunpass/EZ pass/I-Pass lanes never have those since people can fly through them. Just see it being funny if someone blows through there over the posted 25mph and it doesn't read their transponder----then they go crashing through the gate!

I have 35% tint on the windshield of my Civic and I've used E-pass with the box without issue.
I'm not sure about the sticker.
At worst they'll send you a bill for the tolls you didn't pay for plus a small extra fee,its a couple bucks IIRC.

You can see where mine is at behind the mirror. Looks like crap, but I don't like things blocking my field of view.

Never thought of the moonroof, but I think that's the way to go if you have one.
