This has recently started, and seems as if it's getting progressivly worse. Allthough, I think it may be due to the road conditions.
Let me run you by the scenario....
Driving along at 45mph or so. Constant engine speed, constant throttle, and all of a sudden the engine drops power and at the same time I get a quick flash from the CEL. This all happens within half a second. As quick as it hit, I get power back almost instantly.
From what I have noticed though, is that it normally only happens when I hit a rough patch of road, or the like. And I can't recall it ever happening at higher speeds (above 50ish). It has also done it at idle as well, but only a couple times.
So, when I got home tonight, I popped the hood and started checking connections and what not... MAF, TPS, CPS, Coil Pack, etc... The only one that felt loose was the MAF connector. But even with the hardest jolt, it would not repeat the symptoms. My only other guess would be the CCRM. Maybe it's dropping power to EEC for some reason for a spit second...
I have yet to pull codes, but I don't think there is going to be anything in there to help me.
Another thing, right after this happens, the car runs rich for a few seconds (probably 5 or so). Even off throttle the car is still running rich. Which kinda backs up my CCRM thought. The EEC looses power, then when it comes back on, it goes to a "start-up" tune, or something along those lines.
Yet another day in the SHO world. :angelnot:
