I am in the process of re-doing the sound system in my 13 ShO. Gonna run audiofrog gb60 6 inch speakers in the front doors. Gb10 tweeters. Eventually gb25 mid range in door. Pushed by 2 zapco dc350.2 amps. I have an image dynamic idmax 15 inch subwoofer on the way. My question is has anyone mounted subs in the read deck or done infinite baffle box in the trunk. To do an IB box since the back seat is solid I would need to cut a hole where the arm rest is. Too bad it doesn't fold down otherwise would be perfect. By the time I'm said and done with sound proofing and everything this will all be well over $3k value worth of audio upgrades. Alot of it was gained through barter and trading thankfully by some guys on an audiophile forum. If anyone has any insight please reply. As you can see I'm more focused on an incredible sound system before any performance mods. When I'm done I will be winning sound quality awards at shows for sure. I will post progress of my build here and the audio forum. Thank you!

After some measurements rear deck is out of the question. I am sitting at IB behind the seat and cutout the hole where the armrest folds down. I would do an x cut in the fabric to be able to fold it around the edges making a clean look. Next idea is a box build under the rear deck bolted to the rear deck. The center speaker would be removed and hole cut out bigger for the bass to travel trough. Also the 6x9s would be removed for additional air to make it in. The third option being using the spare tire well with a flush mount board making it level with the rest of the trunk. A hole will need to be cut in the bottom of the well and a special mesh insert added to block moisture from coming in. I'm really suprised no one here has done any kind of build like this. Less material, weight and room taken up compared to a normal ported or sealed sub box not to mention tremendous amounts more bass and sound quality. Hmm looks like I'm paving the way for the SHO crowd in the pro audio realm of things. Will start a proper build post when i have all the material and equipment in hand.

jesus, there is no way you can justify that price! My Sony system sounds great, how could this be $3k better?

I didnt pay near like like I said i am only out 340$ cash and some other stuff I treaded. You are right now way in **** I would have bought that equipment at full price, its all in the hustle my guy. There's dudes that put twice that amount into performance mods then take it to a track or shows. Sure the Sony system sounds good but pull up to a sound quality audio show you won't win any awards. I will take mine to audio shows when I'm finished and have a really good chance of winning. I used to work with a guy who dropped $20k on car audio equipment and it sounded phenomenal hard to put into words. Different strokes for different folks.
