Ok, I have never had this trouble before, but never had this kind of wiper arm.

HOW DO I GET MY WIPER BLADES OFF THE ARM?

It looks so easy, but I can't figure out how to get mine to slide up and off the post on the wiper arm. I am no mechanical engineer, but this is ridiculous.

Thanks

Slide the blade toward the arm's pivot (to driver side) and then push downward toward the glass to clear the arm.

Thanks for the help, I finally figured it out. Scott, I think we have different fittings. Yours sounds like the big hook kind, mine has the peg that the blade slides down on. Maybe another '89 special part?

BTW, there is a spring that you have to move around that is holding the blade onto peg on the wiper arm.

Sorry about the misinformation. I had replaced my blades many years ago with more aero friendly models. They are obviously attached differently.
