Stupid climate control!!!

Has anyone replaced their climate control with the easy to use dials out of an '89? I hate having to hold down the button for 10 seconds to go from cold to hot, and my parts '89 has 3 dials for fan, heat and position. Are they interchangeable?

I believe the non eatc models use cables to actuate the blend doors and such. The eatc cars have a whole slew of electronics to make it run. I think it would be more of a headache than it is worth to swap it all. Have fun with it.

Not really interchangeable.

Also, rather than just holding the cold/hot buttons and waiting, you can just tap them successively and get to your desired temp more quickly.
