You might want to check your plugs and wires. It could possibly be a miss fire but it's hard for us to tell without hearing it.

Also try pressing your caps lock button. Not sure if it will help you car. But when you use caps it like you yelling.

Every three seconds? Is your A/C compressor fast cycling? Try turning the climate control to VENT, FLOOR or OFF and see if it still stumbles every three seconds. Those are the only positions that don't engage the A/C compressor. If it is the compressor cycling, the refrigerant level is too low and causing the rapid clutch cycles.

If that is not the problem, have you been seeing the CHECK ENGINE light at any time? You really must check the codes if so. If not, the only causes of misfires would be the plugs and wires. What kind and how old are they?

Might be a dirty IAC valve. Or a coil may be bad. Coils are a rather common problem on higher mileage V8 SHOs. Usually the ones in the back. Very hard to diagnose but it shows up as a miss at idle. It will quit altogether at some time in the future and set a code.
