I recently acquired a used zex dry kit, story I got on it was that the kid blew his motor in his civic by using it, I installed the kit, filled the bottle and almost went to go drive it. decided to test it in the shop instead, it sprayed like it was supposed to, but wouldn't stop, disarmed it, and it still wouldn't stop, had to turn the bottle off to shut it down. kinda glad I didn't try and drive it

anybody else ever have this problem?
possible fixes?

To me it sounds like the selenoid that opens up to spray the nitrous is getting stuck open and not closing until pressure is released (aka the bottle is shut).

Just like the selenoid in the IAB/IAC gets stuck and will not open to idle the car.

that's what I think too, but now what do I do about it? if anybody knows I would appreciate it, the guy I talked to at zex just wanted me to buy another kit.

I wonder if you can just purchase another solenoid and go from there. When I call a company and get someone who isn't being helpful I hang up and call back and talk to someone else.

Either way good luck and yikes, luckily it didnt do that on the car, sounds like it would have been stuck when you werent even at WOT.

On an unrelated note I dynoed my car at Brians Tire in Pocatello a few weekends ago.

You can order another solenoid from ZEX... that would be the easiest route. I have also heard that they make rebuild kits for the solenoids. I'm not sure if ZEX offers them or where you would get them. I had a problem with my purge solenoid sticking closed... I ended up just buying another one.
