well if it doesnt fit well then Im just going to not bother. The newer taurus guage pods have the light gray or silver trim instead of the black. Does that come off? Theres one at the junkyard that I will take apart, but I wasnt sure if that overlay comes off or is attached.

I'm not saying the present ones don't fit.

The over lay is a separate part and is easily removed.

Here's some better pictures so you can see what the plastic surround looks like:

Thanx allot, thats the one I want, i saw it in a newer taurus out at the junkyard. I like the white face guages too, those look very nice. I had a set in my jeep and thought they made the dash look much better.

The white face gauges suck IMO. Drive your car for a year with them in and you'll know what I'm talking about.

But for the 10 bucks I spent on them, I can deal with it.

But yeah, the silver surround is cool, and you can find it on 99's

I had them and took them out. Look nice in the daytime but the lighting is the worstest.

I have to agre with both Paul's on that one, I hate my e-bay gauges. SHObro's has some really nice ones that I want to get so maybe after my car is finished I'll get a pair.

I ordered the Jeep ones off ebay as well. they look pretty much the same as yours. I liked them at night b/c I changed the bulbs to be a bright blue-white. The Jeep dash cluster was set up differently in which the lights illuminated from the sides not from the back so it looked different. I got sick of the white face guages after a while so I may just keep the black in the SHO for a change.

okay so today I recieved my clear side indicators. They dont appear to fit well, I think Im gonna have to trim a bit off the edges. Otherwise they dont look bad. Ill snap a picture with them on the car after I get some SS screws to hold them on. I need to bust out the drivers side indicator and somehow get the old screw out since its stripped and wont turn(i think its rusted up from all the salt)

I just painted mine with some factory-matched Saddle paint from Ford:

i too have my new trim piece in from the junkyard, was only $1.65 so I had to take it. I like the idea of painting it as well since I decided I'd like a different silver than the one below, but for now its staying in.
