The rear actually serves more of a purpose than the front. The front is located fairly close to the firewall, it uses this as support. The rear really has nothing, so you will notice a bigger difference with the rear bar. Will you notice a difference with both??? Depends on how hard you push your car... The car will be stiffer no doubt.

Another recommended item: Sub Frame Connectors & Aluminum Sub Frame Bushings

Strut tower braces + subframe connectors + H brace = no squeaks or groans and sharper steering. I've done a bunch of other stuff to the suspension as well, but I really notice the stiffer body.

I just put in a front STB and it makes a notable difference in front end stability and cornering; also reduced the creaks, groans...
Next is the SFB's, SFC's, reat strut tower brace; just waiting for the brown truck to show up with the SS y-pipe to get things rolling.

Rear STB made a noticeable difference. For my daily driven SHO the difference is mainly in fewer creaks and groans over uneven pavement.

I have yet to install the front strut tower brace. I'm wishfully hoping for warmer weather soon!

I did the Alm Sub frame bushings 1st and found the improvment ok. Several other said it made a huge differance.

So then added the Strut bars and turn in was much improved. Doing all the mods make for a better car as they work together.

i did the RSTB a while back and it made a noticable difference. i can now keep up with my buddy's integra on the onramps. i agree that the rear will make more of a noticable difference than the front. only reason i haven't done the front is because i want to do strut relocation at the same time which gets expensive. i've got a set of SFC's that are nearing completion so i'll post back after they're on. i know AL SFB's also are a great bang for the $ suspension mod that is fairly easy to do.

Where did you guys get your front AND rear STBs? On the fronts did you have to remove the gas hood props? Is it mounted to the firewall as well or does it act more like a Monte Carlo bar (just ST-ST, no firewall)? I thought the front struts were integrated into the firewall, thus making a front STB just extra weight.

The rear I am more interested in. Any modifications to the trunk? Does it just flatten the cornering, or can it also cause understeer?

I got both of mine from SHO Shop... Yes you have to remove or relocate the hood struts for the front bars.

I don't know about any modifications to the trunk as I made my own weld in strut bar.

As a general rule, stiffining the rear via springs/strut bar/sway bar will loosen a car up.

I have the STB's, SFC's and H-Brace from SHO Shop.
I got the hood strut relocation kit from Adam Varney.( Use the search function to locate him )

Check this thread .

All in all, the car is much firmer and more responsive. The turn in is very quick, and it is more likely to oversteer if you transfer the weight forward abruptly in a corner. I still would not be able to overtake a really hot, rear driven sports car, but I'm sure they'll be wondering why they can't lose me. thumb

you can't beat the SHOshop price on sale. Well I think AnondaMotorsports is a little cheaper if you buy a pair, but either way you can't go wrong. My personal suspension stiffening progression was full length welded SFC's (did that 4 days after I got the car) then F&R STB (From Bob @ AnondaMotorsports), then my own AL SFB's (I put them on everything, even my winter beater). I then did new sway links and 24/26mm sway bars.

I'd have to say that I think the rear STB makes more of a difference than the front on a gen2. Gen 1 might be a little more pronounced as the body was a little looser IIRC.
