Great to hear your getting your lower cladding painted. I was on the fence about doing mine last year when I painted all the chrome on the car to match the silver paint scheme. I wanted the lower cladding and bumper bottoms done so bad but everyone I talked to was concerned about the chipping from debris it would receive. Not including how it's textured and would need to be sanded for optimum results. Post those pics as soon as its done! :dribble: I can't wait!!

I had the same concerns about the debris hitting the lower part. But the plant is now making the MKS with that part painted. It looks really good on the MKS. Ill try it and see what happens. He sanded out the texture in no time. Its amazing how if u have the rite tools, things go a lot faster and smoother. I can't wait to post pics. I'm goin to go over there in the moring and watch him paint it.

@SHO U UP, do u have pics posted where I can see what u painted on yours?

Take a look at the mod section and look for "Go Team Silver". Should be listed there bud. I removed the badging and re-did it also on the trunk and lost the ECOboost badge. If ya can't find it, I'll search for it and link it to ya.

Great pics from Greg!

Nice to see the mod bug has bit you hard man........ only 800 miles that's insane.

I'd like to see you do a write up on that front clip removal..... or at least post some pointers on where it's attached etc..... some of us may need that info for future projects of our own *wink *wink

Removing the front clip was easy. The grille is attached to it though. So when u want to change the grille, the bumper has to come off. There's no other way. The rest to the cladding around the car, I hate to say it, but it's just push pins and clips.

As far as the molding bug hitting me, I just like to get all the mods done b4 the temp tags come off. Call it what u want. But I like to have a new car that's done. Any1 can fix up a 10 year old car. But when people see a new car modded......well u guys know.
