strange noises

First of all i am new here. im on my third sho and i need some help fixing her up. Just picked up a 91 mtx. As far as i can see it has an aftermarket y pipe with cats, all new struts, calipers. I already know im in need of a motor mount but the rest of the sounds i dont know. Ok first i have a pulsating resistance in the steering wheel. Just not smooth in hard cornering or sitting still. I can also hear something from the right front strut when turning the wheel. i am also having a problem with the brake pedal sticking slightly. a simple lift from the toe and its back but getting annoying. Any help would be great

The pulsing resistance in the steering wheel when turning is a symptom of a bad rack - if the torque sensor gets bad, the boost pulses when you turn the wheel.

The noise from the front strut is likely due to a bad strut bearing. When the struts were changed, it may be that they didn't change the strut mounts or strut mount bearings - if the bearing gets dry it will make a noise as you turn the wheels.

Do the brakes work properly? The brake booster could be bad, the return spring could be bad, or the pivot could be rusty. Look down there and see if the spring looks good, and spray a little WD40 on the pivot to see if that changes anything.

Thank you for your help. i am still waiting to use my friends lift to check out the strut. Hopefully this week some time. Plus I have a rattle witch i believe is a heat shield. Have to fix that. Way too annoying. As far as the brakes they work great. All new calipers and rotors. I had to put a new brake light switch as soon as i bought it. Everything with the pedal assembly looked good. Ill try some wd.
