O.K. - Sorry if this is really dumb but I haven't seen it while searching... Should the transmission be in any gear or in neutral when removing for a clutch job?
The cars on jack-stands, newly built (pipe) engine support installed, y-pipe, starter, wiring all removed / out of the way. Next is the suspension parts removal before dropping the sub-frame. (I'm referencing the Ford manual, SHOPhoenix / and SHOForum write-ups)
Just ordered: rear main seal, strut rod bushings, catted y-pipe, 02 sensors, cable shifter bushings and SHO mechanics tee shirt. I have a new cable, stock clutch & pressure plate already.
Wish me luck!
Thanks to SHOForum... w/o y'all I'd NEVER attempt somthing this difficult.
