It is posibble if you know how to wire. The factory headunit has low level outputs so you could easilly splice in a set of rca's if you know what you are doing. But why not just get you a nice aftermarket player?

You need to take the stock speaker wires (there are two for each negative and positive and run them to a ground loop isolator which will convert them to an RCA style plug. Do this close to the head unit to avid any interference. From there run your RCAs to the back of the car (or whereever you put your amps) and wire normally. Also, there is an adapter harness that you can use.

Don't a lot of amps come with speaker level inputs? Just get an amp with some of those, and there you go. You might have to buy a molex connector to fit but that shouldn't be too hard.

thanks for the help guys. the reason for not getting a aftermarket cd player is i really like to stock look of factory. that and i live in an area in which a aftermarket headunit would draw too much attention to my car.

The other thing that is going to **** you off is the remote switch, which even speaker level input amps have. They aren't on a 12v relay, but usually like 4v. If you run 12v to it, you will eventually **** the amp. Look at the manual of the amp and see what the voltage capacity is for the remote line. I know that on some vehicles there is a low voltage line in the alarm system that is switches on during vehicle operation. I think it has to do with the starter **** system. That is the hardest part of the whole deal.

Will actually i have run both , stock headunit with aftermarket amps and aftermarket unit with stock amps. both run a 12v turnon.
