can i take the stock amp off and rewire it like you would if you went and bought an amp new, the reson i ask is because whoever had the car before me decided to cut all the wires going to everthing back there and its all screwed up, i just want to use it to push all four of my normal speakers, and is it a 4 channel?

You can rewire the amp, but it will take a bit of work. Which system do you have? Premium Sound or JBL? The input from the head unit to the main amp and the output from the main amp for both systems are identical, the JBL has an extra amp to power the subwoofer.
