My SHO is reallly ****** me off. I just replaced the Starter Solenoid Switch, battery isnt dead. And the motor is still not even cranking over.

Can someone please tell me what could be the problem? I hope its not a shorted circuit or wire.....

Check your connections. I had the same problem before and it was a loose connection.:)

I'd say just pull the starter and take it to your local parts house and have them test it for you.

One thing that I haven't seen mentioned yet, but I have experienced on another Ford product, is the ignition switch. Add 12v to the small post on the starter solenoid. If it starts then the ignition switch is the culprit.

You can rule out circuit problems by unplugging the little wire at the starter and connecting a clip lead between the big terminal and the little terminal. The starter will engage when you make the connection, so be ready. Just touch it for a second. Wear gloves, and for gosh sakes make sure the car is not in gear and wheels chocked so you don't **** yourself.

Alternatively, pull the starter and take it in to be tested.

Cool thanks you guys for the replies. I think it is loose connections also. If it is the ignition switch than damn it. Haha

Ill try the things you guys told me to an Ill also use my meter to test high and low points voltage wise.
