From my post about SHO manuals. I looked through the sites that were posted and I can not find a SHO manual. Pep boys didn't have one either. Does Haynes, Helm, or Chilton make one?

The only manual that covers all of the SHO is the Helms. It has a seperate part for it,and is the Ford shop manual.Try to look for their website. It`s a 1-800 number.1-800-buy-helm,or something like that. It`s about $90,but well worth it if you plan on doing maintenance yourself. It got me thru a water pump, cps, timing belt, etc for under $350.

Not sure what year you have but the normal taurus ford shop manual covers the SHO. You can find them on ebay all the time. They will cost you around 60-90 dollars. This is for the 93s and up. I thought that the 89s were the only ones that had seperate manuals.

I know that my 93 manual is the normal Shop manual and it covers the SHO and all other Tauri...

Where can I buy a Ford shop manual? From the dealership? I have the Haynes Taurus/Sable manual. I need something to help me with the SHO engine.

Ford Shop Manual(s), by Helm, Inc., available at: www.helminc.com ($90+), www.books4cars.com (~$60 used), www.ebay.com.

The Ford Shop Manual for the early years comes as a large "Taurus" book, plus a "SHO" specific complimenting manual about 3/4" thick, I believe. The later years (like my 95) comes as a 3" Shop Manual, including SHO specifics. HOWEVER - be advised that there is a companion manual (to all years, I believe) called the EVTM, electrical & vacuum troubleshooting manual, which has all of the detailed diagrams for the cars. You will find MANY occurances in the Shop manual where it says "See EVTM". I have both for my 95, a Chilton's (Autozone), and a Haynes computer codes book.
