Are there any tricks to fix an extremely sticky throttle? Maybe some WD40 on the cable by the throttle body? Sometimes I cant even tell if Im stepping on the gas or not because it is so stiff. I mean, I really have to step on it to even go anywhere. Someone said that I can remove the cable wire and replace it to another area of the TB to make it easier to push.

Sounds like there is some physical interference. Have you tried moving the throttle plate manually to see if it is stiff as well? The stock location of the cable should not have to be changed.

Check the cable and as was said above pull off the intake tubing and look at the throttle plate. Sometimes you can get gunk build up in the throttle body and that creates resistance when trying to accelerate

if the cable is dry and binding it may need replaced.

Yes moving the plate manually is really tough to push. My gas pedal was really loose so I'm really confused, it was almost wanting to flip around

Look and feel around the surface of the throttle body and see if you can see or feel buildup that makes movement more difficult. If so you might just need to clean it and be good to go

Well, decent throttle bodies are not hard to find - see my for-sale thread for example.

It feels like the spring is way too tight. Is there any way to get a different spring installed so that way you barely tap the gas and she will go?

I suppose although I have no first hand knowledge of having it done. I would follow advice above and if you have an issue with the throttle body just buy another used one

unless the spring has been changed, it is not too stiff.

I will try and first clean the crap out of the TB. Maybe if I apply some WD40 near the spring it will loosen it up a bit?

x2 all of the above, and I suppose there could be a long shot: something might be broken in the TPS; you can take that off to see if it makes a difference.

I think im going to take the throttle body completely off and see what i can find tonight. Going to clean it really good inside and out. I have a brand new MAF on her now, so i wouldnt think that should be very dirty at all.

K&N filter by any chance? Overoiling is a frequent problem that affects the MAF.
